galletto kess ktag review

Is it ok to buy Fgtech galletto 4 v54 to read and write BMW ECUs? To work with edc17 without issues? Here goes to questions and answers.
Questions:
Galletto brick 730d ecu and fail with too many BMW
i do at least 3 BMW a week and kess clone much better will help you choosing the right protocol will do the gob safer. The recovery mode helped many times after i started with galletto and writing fail half way throw...

Answers:

By bmw, you must have good extra 12v power for reading and writing. But there are 3 different kinds of pcb i have seen of Fgtech Galletto 4 v54 from Chinese. if you have luck that you receive the good one, i think it’s worth to have it. Maybe it’s good to have the kess v2 also, because non of China tool will cover all cars good, that you will see than in practice. if you buy kess, i don’t think you will be able to do some newer bmw edc17, maybe k-tag or other tools!
My advice is, if you buy clone tools, buy all (galletto+kess+ktag) from them, that you will cover more cars, or better to buy a good original tool if you will do the work as a pro, all depends want you will do.

Q: How to know my Kess V2 is a China clone or an EU clone? What’s the dofference?

A: It’s simple; just look purple PCB, then you can be 100% sure its build EU clone. China have green or red PCB.
But remember, full reworked green Kess V2from China also works well. And it is low budget clone for start business.

Kess v2 EU purple PCB and China green/red PCB can be found here:

http://blog.obdexpress.co.uk/2017/09/27/kess-v2-5-017-china-clone-vs-kess-v2-eu-clone/

It’s a good write-up of Kess V2 PCB.

But you have to know- no matter what the colour of the pcb is ist sa pcb
the main thing is good quality parts thats is all thats needed
a china kess/ktag fgtech or any other board if reworked will work exactly as it should

eu made/pcb is a gimmick in most sellers (would like to see proof otherwise)
all the eu boards i have seen have been china made pcb’s some reworked some not even changed but sold as eu made.
the purple eu made kess and ktags can someone proove where in the eu they are made?
poland maybe or germany etc but as i said before makes no diference whatsoever if the parts are good quality then the pcb’s are all the same
they all use the same project to make the pcb’s
