JLR mangoose for Jaguar and Land Rover technical support
This is the problem that one of our customer meet and the solution:
After
JLR mangoose for Jaguar and Land Rover software is installed ready, Program does not recognise the cable. Message says
VCM is disconnected. Have tried the settings page but it still does not recognise cable. After uninstall the the license and driver completely, reinstall the lincense and driver again, now what happens is it finds the mongoose and says it's connected. Then it automatically tries to read the VIN from the car with no option to input manually. After trying for about 5 mins it says mongoose disconnected. No amount of removing and connecting will resolve the issue. Have to reboot machine and the process starts all over again. The issue is apparent on a Windows laptop and a Macbook pro running windows. Both machines running XP with SP2.
This is the workaround:
Start Windows
Plug in Mongoose and wait for Windows to recognise it.
Start SDD wait for it to connect to Mongoose
Click continue until it gets to VIN page then go back disconnect Mongoose enter VIN manually
Reconnect Mongoose and then all works as it should.
Q: Does this software need activation before use.
A: No. Just install the driver and license as our video.
