I have one Autel MaxiIM IM608, and one day I used it to program a Key ID 46 for Mitsubishi Outlander 2007, all keys lost, this is the key that I want to program:

Because I don't have the correct chip to program, I got error "The key couldn't be registered because the key was wrong type. ".

Then I consult in the Autel MaxiIM IM608 group, many locksmiths gave me advice, among them I pick up two here, hope it helps you too if you have the same problem.

 

  1. Make sure the 46 chip has Mitsubishi data inside it. Not a normal 7936.

Connect programmer and turn ignition on when prompted. If you put an unprogrammed key into it and turn ignition on you will get immo lockout for 35 minutes.

 

  1. For the key that you want to program, Xhorse Condor Mini Plus is able to cut the key for you, if you don't have one Condor, ask someone for help.
