FCA 12+8 universal adapter function:
1.Used in key programming and cluster calibration via OBDII
2.Used with OBDSTAR X300 DP and

All FCA vehicles after 2018 are equipped with SGW security gateway module to prevent attacks on the vehicle network through the CAN bus. Directly plug in the OBD II-16 connector cannot communicate with them. For this problem, you can connect to the 12PIN and 8PIN connections on the car through the FCA 12 + 8 adapter to help normal communication with the car.

Enter the newest Chrysler Dodge Jeep V30.64.

Tap "FCA POS" at the left corner, you will see the position of SGM /SGW (Security Gateway Module).
